Every kid plays. No tryouts, no cuts. Saturdays in Nampa, fall and spring.
Spring spots fill up, so don’t wait.
Add your email and we’ll let you know when registration starts.
Rec is about fun, friends and learning the game. It’s where most Nampa kids play, and where most of them stay. Everyone gets equal playing time. Your child is placed on a team, practices 1–2 times a week and plays a game on Saturday.
Teams are coached by parent volunteers from right here in Nampa. Every coach is background-checked and trained, and is usually somebody’s mom or dad who wanted their kid to have a good season.
Ages: U4 through U18 (about ages 3 to 18)
Seasons: Fall and spring, registered separately. Playing in the fall doesn’t automatically sign you up for spring.
1–2 practices a week, depending on your player’s age. Your coach picks the days and location.
Saturdays at the CWI fields, 5500 E Opportunity Dr., between 9 and 3.
About 8 weeks. Practices usually start a week before games.
About 2–3 hours a week, mostly Saturday mornings. More if you have more than one player.

Registration doesn't include the uniform. The required uniform (red jersey, white jersey, red shorts and red socks) is $69.50 plus tax, ordered through the link in your registration confirmation email. You'll also need cleats, shin guards and a ball.
We're a nonprofit and we have scholarships every season. If money is the thing standing between your kid and soccer, email info@nampapremiersoccer.com before you close this page. Scholarship requests are always confidential.
It takes 10-15 minutes.
We'll email you the link from our apparel partner, Tursi Soccer Idaho. You can also email us to learn about our Free Gear Swap.
Your coach will reach out before the season with practice times. Then it's Saturday soccer!
If cleats or gear are a hardship, tell us. We can help, and we mean it.
Every rec team is coached by a parent volunteer. No experience needed. If you’ve been thinking about it, we’ll show you the ropes.
Absolutely. Rec soccer is where kids learn the game. Most of our youngest players have never touched a ball before their first practice.
You can add a request when you register. There's a $25 special request fee, and you can offset it by volunteering for an hour with the club. We do our best to honor every request, but we can't promise them all because teams need to be balanced.
Each child plays with their own age group, so they'll be on different teams. Game times are set by age group, and many families end up with back-to-back or overlapping Saturday games. Some parents choose to coach their kids' teams to help avoid conflicting games.
We play in light rain. We cancel for lightning, severe weather or unhealthy air quality, following our weather and cancellation policy. Your coach and our Facebook page will let you know. See the full weather and cancellation policy →
After the season starts, refunds aren't available except for an injury or a family emergency. For more information about refunds, email our recreational registrar, Tyson, at tyson@nampapremiersoccer.com.
Where parents sit depends on your player's age.
U4–U6: Sit on the same side as your players. Our little ones are still getting comfortable with the game, and having you nearby helps. U4–U6 sideline policy →
U7 and up: Sit on the spectator side, across from the team benches. U7–U18 sideline policy →
Please cheer, but leave the coaching to the coach: kids get confused when they hear two sets of instructions. And as always, be respectful to our referees. Many of them are teenagers.
No. In rec, fall and spring are separate seasons with separate registration, and players can sign up for one or both. If you play in the fall, you'll often move into the spring season with some of the same teammates, and maybe even the same coach, but that isn't guaranteed.
Most of our players stay in rec, season after season, and that’s exactly what rec is for. It isn’t a stepping stone or a beginner tier. It’s the biggest thing our club does.
But some kids want more games, more training and a team that travels. If that’s your kid, competitive tryouts are every June, and a lot of our competitive players started out on a Saturday field at CWI.
