ABOUT NAMPA PREMIER

A nonprofit, volunteer-run soccer club serving Nampa families since 2001.

Who we are

Our missionTo develop players into exceptional individuals both on and off the soccer field through quality coaching, professionalism and sportsmanship.

Nampa Premier Soccer Club is a nonprofit youth soccer club run by parents and volunteers from right here in Nampa. We've been at it since 2001.

We run two programs. Recreational is our largest, with 700–1,000+ kids a season, every one of them on a team, no tryouts and no cuts. Our competitive teams, U9 through U14, play across the Treasure Valley from fall through spring.

Same crest, same club, same city. A kid can start with us at four and play through their teens without ever leaving Nampa.

The city's soccer club

An official affiliate of Nampa Parks & Recreation

Nampa Parks and Recreation takes a community-based approach to youth sports. Rather than running every league itself, the city partners with local nonprofit and parent-run organizations for each sport.

Baseball has Nampa Valley Little League and Nampa Babe Ruth. Football has Optimist. Softball has Nampa Pride.

For soccer, it's us.

We play on city fields, we serve city kids, and we're listed on the Parks and Recreation affiliates page alongside the other organizations the city trusts with youth sports in this town.

How we develop players

What we're actually teaching

We think about player development across four areas:

  • Technique — the fundamentals of how a player handles the ball.
  • Tactics — reading the field, understanding position and shape, knowing what to do before the ball arrives.
  • Fitness and athletic ability — age-appropriate conditioning, speed and endurance, built through play rather than punishment.
  • Confidence and character — resilience, teamwork, and how to lose a game without losing yourself. This is the part parents remember ten years later.

That framework applies at every level. A U6 rec player and a U14 competitive player are working on the same four things at very different scales.

What we believe

  • Every kid plays. Rec has no tryouts and no cuts, and it's the biggest thing we do.
  • Nobody gets priced out. We're a nonprofit with scholarships every season. If cost is the barrier, we want to hear about it before a family walks away.
  • Nobody profits. There's no owner taking a cut. Fees go to fields, referees, equipment, uniforms and scholarships.
  • Volunteers run this. Your kid's coach is here because they want to be, not because it's their job.
  • Nampa is home. Practices and home games are here. Great soccer shouldn't require a commute.

Our story

Twenty-five years of Nampa soccer.

How we grew

For most of our history, this was a club run entirely by volunteers wearing several hats at once. Registrars handled coach placement and paperwork. The president and vice president oversaw both programs directly. In the mid-2010s, the competitive side was about three teams.

That's changed. Today we field 12 competitive teams, with a girls team at every age group we run (a first in club history), alongside the largest recreational soccer program in Nampa.

Where we're going

Our goal is simple: keep great soccer close to home and affordable for every Nampa family as the city grows. That means more trained volunteer coaches, more scholarships, and a clear path for every player from their first Saturday in rec to a competitive team, if that's where they want to go.

Girls soccer at NPSC

A team at every age.

We field a girls team at every age group we run. That's a first in club history, and it isn't true at every club in the valley.

Who Runs the Club

The NPSC Board is made up of parent volunteers, and every one of them has a kid in this club. We meet monthly. Board positions open up regularly, and any club family can apply.

Where Your Registration Fees Go

Nampa Premier is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Nobody owns this club, and nobody takes a profit from it. Registration fees cover:

  • Field use and maintenance
  • Referees
  • League and state registration
  • Insurance
  • Equipment: balls, goals, nets, coach bags
  • Coach training and background checks
  • Scholarships

Board members are unpaid volunteers. A small number of program roles are compensated at rates set and reviewed by the board.

Scholarships

We offer scholarships every season, for both rec and competitive. If registration cost is what's standing between a kid and a team, tell us before you walk away.

Who qualifies

Any NPSC family for whom the cost of registration is a real barrier. You don't need to prove anything to ask.

How to apply

Fill out the short scholarship application before you register. We'll let you know the decision and send you a code to register at the reduced cost.

Confidentiality

Applications are reviewed by the board and kept confidential. Your coach and other families won't know.

Volunteer hours

Scholarship families give 8 volunteer hours per season. We'll help you find hours that fit your schedule.
