Recreational Division

Overview:

Our recreational division is just that RECREATIONAL.

Recreational Defined: relating to or denoting activity done for enjoyment in one’s spare time.

Our goal for recreational soccer is to foster a place where players can get outside, get active, and focus on having fun while also learning basic soccer skills, social skills, and team building skills.

Recreational soccer is NOT aimed at winning games or getting the most goals.

It is truly focused on having FUN and learning.

If you or your player are looking for a more intense and involved area of soccer that does have more focus on winning and promotes high-level competition, please consider trying out for our competitive program (More information on our competitive program can be found under the competitive section).

Practices
Practice dates and time are determined by the head coach. We try to create teams that reside in similar geographic locations. Practices are usually 1–2 times a week and last approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your child’s age.

Kids should come to practice prepared with:

Shin guards
Water/water bottle
Appropriately-sized soccer ball
Cleats (suggested)
* If this is a hardship, please contact Nampa Premier Soccer Club

Coaches:

Our coaches are volunteer-based. They are required to complete and pass a background check. We require that all coaches pass a basic coaching class online, as well as a concussion awareness class as well.

We are always looking for new additions to our amazing coaches. If you are interested in coaching your child’s team or another team, please mark that on your registration form and go to ‘Get Involved‘ or get in touch with the Director of Recreational Coaching.

Reminders:

*Players must have a uniform, which can be purchased here. A uniform consists of 2 shirts (1 red and 1 white), 1 pair of shorts, and a pair of socks (socks can be purchased from any store; red is preferred but not required).

**A full uniform must be worn to each game. Please know that uniforms are now only available through Tursi Soccer with shipping. We do not have any on hand, and they will not be available for purchase at the booth. If you have any questions or issues with your uniform order please contact Tursi Soccer directly.
